Router slowing me down??

So our church just got charter business internet. Don't know what they promise but out of the ubee modem they put in I can get about 75Mbps. When I feed it into our Linksys wrt54g router (with updated firmware) we only get 30Mbps on both wired and wireless. What's the problem you think? Thanks.

30Mbit is about the limits for that router. You definitely need something from this decade (if not this century)... Does this support just the offices or does it support general internet access for church members?

It supports the church offices with 3 computers and 3 access points. One of which is the open access point for the sanctuary that holds 500 people.

I should add this router goes to a switch that goes out to the computers and access points

OK, then you REALLY should look for something commercial that can separate the public access from the offices. Something like a Zyxel ZyWALL. Ths USG20 is available on NewEgg for not too much.
