Router that will penetrate walls

Well , I have a big house and I need a long range router that will penetrate walls . Including 0.5meter wall . If possible .
I tried wireless extenders but they are a bitch to use and dont work properly .
I also dont have the option to connect an Ethernet cable throughout the house.
Im in need of a long range router .

If you can't run CAT5 then your best option is to use Powerline and run one or two WAPs off that.

I agree that powerline is likely your best solution.

The ability to penetrate walls is mostly a function of the radio output power. This is limited by the government and most routers transmit very close to the legal maximums. You will not find significant differences between most major brands of routers.

Now lets say you get some illegal router that can put out huge amounts of power. That is only half your problem. You end devices,especially portable ones, put out nowhere near the maximum power. So you now can receive the signals from the router but the signals can not get back to the router from your end device. Besides high power levels are unsafe, your microwave oven run on the same frequency as wireless radio.
