Hello, I have a question regarding my network configuration.

Currently I have two routers:
1 - D-LINK DIR-655 (Internet Gateway with stock firmware)
■ WAN Port -> Internet
■ Port 1 -> 16 port unmanaged switch
■ Port 2 -> TP-LINK Router

2 - TP-LINK WDR3600 (Running OpenWRT Chaos Calmer 15.05-rc2)
■ WAN Port -> To DIR-655 Port 1
■ Port 1 -> To PC
■ Port 2 -> To PC
■ Also has wifi interfaces

I drew a picture to represent how my network is configured now, and another picture to express the way I want it to be configured (or equivalent of if possible)
By the way, sorry for the poor design of the photo lol, mspaint!

How it is currently:

Kind of the way I want it to work:

SO i'm thinking I need to set up static routes but I don't quite have my head wrapped around them. The reason I want to direct all traffic to the wdr and then back out on the dir655 is that the wdr3600 has OpenWRT with bandwidth monitoring and QoS features I want to apply to all hosts within the house. And also, yes I thought about swapping the routers positions, but it is not an option unfortunately.

THANKS!! Hope you can understand what I'm trying to do : S if not, post message and I will try to clear up. Thanks again!

You seem to have pretty good knowledge of your network, but just curious why you need distinct subnets if you want to bandwidth monitor the whole network.

Also, why you cannot use the WDR3600 as your primary router and the DIR-655 as as AP where the 3600 is currently located, which would be quite simple.

I have to assume that you have renters or something similar that are located at the DIR-655 area, although that really does not prohibit you from swapping the routers and remotely controlling the 3600.
