[SOLVED] Rtx 2060 getting hot

I know this is a cheaper and suppose to be budget 2060, do you think if I replace the thermal paste on this card would it be cooler? Playing cod it get to 80.

I have this exact card.

You should see lower temperatures if you improve the airflow in your case. Manually increasing the speed of your GPU fans will also help. I'm able to get temperatures in the high 60s when running my 2060 at 96% utilization, overclocked +98 MHz, and with my GPU fans set at 100%.

I have no experience with it, but changing the thermal paste to an inevitably higher-quality compound should likewise also probably reduce temperatures somewhat.

How is that only warm? A couple more degrees and it'll begin thermal throttling (as I have observed in my own 2060 KO). Even if you manually adjust the maximum temperature in afterburner, the highest temperature the software will allow the card to go to is 87 degrees. What exactly constitutes hot in your opinion if 80 degrees isn't hot?

if you know so much why ask add a few fans as others have said.

You could try MSI afterburner and speed up the fans, My gpu gets abit to warm and speed up fans while gaming!

That's kind of normal. I've been seeing people saying cheaper rtx 2060 reaching high 70s to 80s. You can try setting a manual fan curve on msi afterburner and undervolting

I have the 300r case from Corsair. I got 1 front intake fan 1 rear exhaust and 2 on the side panel next to the gpu one in one out

Well, there's your problem: the side panel fans are both supposed to be intake, not one in one out.

You should also buy some more fans to maximize your airflow potential.
