RTX 2060 MSI Ventus not recognized

So I got a rtx 2060 today and I plugged it into an old A880G+ bio star mobo with windows 10 installed that used to hold a 980 ti. After plugging the card in and making sure that the graphics card has been plugged in correctly, the device manager doesn’t seem to detect the graphics card. However, the fans on the graphics card are running. Also, when trying to use the display ports on the graphics card nothing shows on the monitor so I use the motherboard output.
