That's a subjective question.

Both the cards are equally good in their own respect. But on which Screen RESOLUTION are you planning to game, 1080p, 2K/4K ? The RTX also has dedicated RT and TENSOR cores for ray tracing.

What games do you actually plan to play ? The RTX card is based on the new TURING architecture though.

Between the two GPUs, it comes down to the price. GTX 1080 GPU is EOL and they cost a lot of money. Cheapest GTX 1080 would be $700 while cheapest RTX 2060 would be $346,

Making the RTX 2060 better choice regardless. Heck, you can even buy 2x RTX 2060 GPUs for the price of one GTX 1080 or go even with RTX 2080 for $680 which is better than the two above,
