I just bought an RTX 2060 to update my old GTX 960 and my surprise was that I have a similar or worse performance in video games.

PC Specs:

- Ryzen 5 1600
- 1x8GB Ram 2400 Mhz
- Asus b350-f ROG
- RTX 2060 Strix
- 750 W PSU

Things that I already try:
- Bios update
- Newest drivers / asus website drivers

As an example: Fortnite in low graphics, it does not give me more than 160 fps

Thanks for the attention, I hope someone can help me

Solution
Your problem is the single 8gb stick. It's running in single channel so it's really hampering performance of the ryzen cpu. Get a matching 8gb stick or get rid of that one and buy a 16gb kit 8gbx2. It will make all the difference in the world

Should I buy ram with more mhz like 3000+ mhz or just buy another stick of 8GB equal?

Ryzen performs better with faster memory. The best memory available has samsung b-die chips. Your motherboard "officially" supports a max of 3200. 3200 kits of b-die will be listed with 14-14-14-34 timings. You'll want to update your motherboard bios for best chance of memory compatibility and running at the rated xmp speed. You may want to buy a kit specifically intended for the AMD platform. Given current pricing 3200 isn't really a huge premium unless you go for the really low latency b-die kits I mentioned.
