Question rtx 2060 vram

hello,
i've noticed that in a few games like gta iv or trackmania nations forever it says that my max vram is 3079mb, even though i have a gigabyte rtx 2060 gaming oc with 6gb of vram.
so i don't understand why it says that my max vram is 3079mb when it's not.
could someone explain this please?

You're sure you have an RTX 2060 and not a GTX 1060 ?

If so, it's probably just a glitch. Never heard of reports of such a glitch though.
