Question RTX 2060 vs 2070

I have been jumping back and forth between these two gpus. I realize that one has a better value, and the other has better performance. My budget leans lightly more towards the 2070 (at $1250-1300), but what do you guys prefer more? I have looked around at benchmarks on youtube (mostly games like Fortnite) but the results really vary. I will be pairing the card with an i5 9600k at 1080p 144hz (Yes I know the 2070 may bottleneck when used with 1080p). Which one do I go with?

If you dont mind the $$ go for the 2070.Bigger is always better techwise since its future proof.

Yeah, thats what I've been thinking too, except it seems the 2060 is a better value pick...

I would think if you're aiming for the refresh rate of the monitor, a 2070 would be the best bet. I don't know if a rtx 2060 would actually be able to push more demanding games at those kind of refresh rates, especially if the quality settings are turned up. Yes, a 2060 is a better value, but if you already have a definite goal you need to reach (144hz refresh) and you have the budget for it, then I say go for it.
