Hey, I really can't decide if it's wort spending almost 200$ more to get the RTX 2070. I want to be able to get 144 fps on 1080p while streaming Apex and Fortnite with Nvenc, and around 45 FPS on X-Plane 11 (I also know xplane is VRAM intensive so that's also a factor). Right now I have a 1050 Ti, i5-6500 and 16 GB of ram. I am also not sure if my CPU would bottleneck the 2070. Thank you for your time.

i'm not the pc guru and you should wait for more responses but i was in simlar position if my old 3570k @4.4 was necking simple 1070 then your 6500 is more than likely to neck any of those cards. I personaly wouldn't rush and think about it more. seems like you require a full system overhaul if you want to do all those things at those rates.
Personaly i see these options:
Save up and buy 2018-2019 system intel or ryzen have their trade offs
Sell your existing system or try to trade up
1660ti is equal to 1080-1080ti so why not to buy used 1080 and upgrade your cpu
Or both with a option to turn your old system into something for home

P.s. fix me if I'm wrong but you do need 144z monitor othervise those 144ps go to waste

The 1660ti is most certainly not 1080 or 1080ti level of performance. It's closer to a 1070.

The 6500 may hold you back slightly at 1080, especially if streaming. I would go with the 2070 If it's in your budget, but would also recommend starting to save for a whole system upgrade.
