[SOLVED] RTX 3070 ti Pinned at 100%

Hello,

Just got my 3070 ti today (MSRP at Best Buy)

Plugged it in and started playing some World of Tanks at max settings. Task manager says that my GPU is at 100% utilization? I am getting between 80-118 fps playing at max settings and in 4k. Does that seem right? I have uninstalled the old GPU drivers and installed the latest drivers for the new card.

Any suggestions?

System specs: (Very bad, waiting for more cash to switch to Ryzen)
CPU: Pentium G4560
Ram: 8 GB DDR 4
Mobo: MSI B250M Gaming Pro
Power supply: Corsair Branded 750 Watt

if it runs at 100% and you dont see stuttering, black screen or some image errors like artefacts, than all is fine and dandy

I'm not sure why you are concerned. 100% GPU utilization is good, and rather surprising given you have a Pentium chip. That means you are using all of the GPUs resources.

Did you have a higher FPS with the older card?

With my 970, I was pulling about 27 fps at 1080p. I am happy with the result, just found it strange that a non "AAA" title would pull that much from the card.

Looks about right for 4k. This is using a 2080Ti which is slight lower performance.

Ah ok I gotcha! Yeah I'm kinda surprised too, but if there's no frame rate limits at all, it does make sense. 🙂
