I have recently bought an Aorus 3070 Master. My psu has 2 x 6+2 pcie pins. The card has 2 8 pin slots. I'm meant to connect both cables right? I connected only one as I wasn't sure and the card boots once it gets to windows. This was on a 600w psu so I just bought a 750w one.

AeroCool Integrator Mod Xt 750W Power Supply, Semi-Modular
That's actually a bad PSU as well. You should NOT cheap out on the PSU. It's what powers all your expensive hardware after all. Would you like to have "dirty" power circulating your system with not enough(if any) protections or a reliable source of clean and safe power?

In the tier list below, pick something that's at LEAST tier B or above. Yours is tier D...

What do you mean the card boots once it gets to Windows? Which exact 600w and 750w psu do you have? The quality of the psu is very important with 3000 series cards.
I'm pretty sure it happened cause I only connected one 6+2 cable instead of the 2 required, but basically everything lights up but there's no signal and then the pc shuts off after like 20 seconds. My current psu is technically strong enough to power it (600w) but it's old and not a good one so I just upgraded it. My question was just if I had to connect both 2+6 pcie pin cables?

600w on its own is meaningless. Quality is equally important, there are some complete garbage 600w PSU’s about.

A single cable is fine. Technically 2 cables is better to share the load but a single cable will work assuming this psu at least has a single 12v rail and it’s not some multi 12v rail psu.

@dotas1 @sizzling Yeah so I have a cx600 which is definitely one of the worse ones out there. I bought a new one which is the "AeroCool Integrator Mod Xt 750W Power Supply, Semi-Modular" from Amazon. I know it might also not be great but I'm on a bit of a budget after buying the card . But yeah I should have connected everything, I don't deserve the card when I didn't even know to do that lmao, thanks for the answer boys

Glad you have it working. Good that you upgraded the push, the cx600 would have been dangerous. We had to learn at some point and I still make mistakes.
