Hi there,

My RTX 3080 FE has been running quite hot for the past while, temperatures regularly around 91 degrees and the fans at 4000 rpm under load. It literally sounds like a jet engine in the room with me.

I followed this tutorial here using the exact same thermal pads (Gelid GP-Extreme 2.0mm and 3.0mm) and thermal paste (Arctic MX-4). Whilst the memory junction temperatures have dropped significantly (from about 85 to 60 degrees) to core GPU temperature hasn't changed. I have tried under-volting but this hasn't decreased the temps at all, the ambient temp in the room in only about 17 degrees and leaving the side panels off my case doesn't help.

Any advice appreciated in reducing the temps!

For context, can you pass on the specs to your entire build? Please list the specs to your build like so:

Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

What sort of ambient room air temps are you experiencing? As for the case, please include the make and model of your fans, the number of fans in case and their orientation.
