Hello! I was just wondering what the max temps/watts/and volts for the 3080 ftw3 ultra should look like. My GPU temps are up almost 70 C and I'm getting around 270-280w when gaming. My volts are 1.2. I've been getting not the best FPS with this card, nothing near as to what I thought it would be and I only game at 1080p. I should be maxing out all settings and getting well above what I have been getting for most of these games. I'm so confused. I've tried what feels like everything. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

PC Specs:
RTX 3080 EVGA FTW3 Ultra
Ryzen 9 5900x
ASUS PRIME Z370-A
PSU 850w Corsair
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz
H100 Corsair Liquid Cooler
x3 Samsung SSD's - x2 500g x1 1 Terra
144 Hz 1080p Acer Monitor

Ok so I think I'm sticking with the 5900x! Is there a way to know if my windows is setup for my new cpu? I think it's running fine, I haven't seen too many problems with it at all.

There some thing you may look for, but is kinda long to explain and write down. The short version will be if its working fine then it should be fine. The not soo short version will be go to your Device Manager and check theres no yellow exclamation (!) marks. (should look similar to this https://filestore.community.support.microsoft.com/api/images/0a1132ba-ae62-4ce6-805b-55a95b07b723)

Then again, if you are keeping your 5900X I would eventually perform a clean install of Windows along the road, and download all the latest drivers as I wrote...
The RAM should help the 5900X, but also installing Windows.

The Core i7 8700K is an amazing CPU, with its 6 cores and 12 threads. The advantages with the 5900X is it has double the cores and threads (12/24), it drops on a newer platform with PCIE 4.0 support. Current GPU and SSD have support for PCIE 4.

For the time been the i7 8700K should remain a good choice for gaming. At 1080p with such a high performance GPU (RTX 3080) the CPU will always be "limiting" the performance, then again in your particular case I think theres some other stuff going on.

But yeah the deceision is yours to make.

It seems you are missing drivers, which is normal if you never download them from AMD and ASUS
Hey Rodro! Sorry it's taken so long to reply. I've been trying new things out and it seems that upgrading my ram has fixed the issue with performance! I'm not sure if this is actually what fixed it, but after I got the 8gb DDR4 3200 MHZ x4 installed my PC has been running quite well!
