[SOLVED] rtx 3080 overkill??

I want to get the rtx 3080 for 1440p 144hz but the 3070 might be the better option im not sure please help!!

3080 will always be better and if you want to game in 4K later then you’ll be set. 3070 is the perfect sweet spot for 1440p gaming. All about your budget.

Depends on how often you plan to upgrade.
If you dont plan to upgrade for 5 yrs or till card possibly fails I say 3080, even at 1440 Requirements will grow over time as new cards get developed.

Depends which games and graphics presets because, both gpus, some will do well over 144 and under in others.

2070 wont hit 144fps in 1440 most AAA titles
This is using 5600X for reference because I dont know what CPU you have or ram qty and speed
