PC Specs:
ASUS Rog Strix B550-F Motherboard
Ryzen 9 3900X
Asus RTX 3080 TUF OC
HyperX Fury DDR4 3200Hmz 16GB (8x2)
Corsairs TX750M
1920x1080 Resolution

Last year I bought a PC in parts and built it. I felt like my PC wasn't performing to it's standards, for example in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I was running all low settings and was getting about 100-120 FPS. Aswell as in GTA where I would get about 60-80 FPS while others would be higher frames with either the same specs or lower specs.
Another problem I am having is my games running on CPU instead of my GPU. When I play Rainbow Six Siege my GPU stays at 0%.

I hope someone will be able to help me.
Thanks

Hey there,

What power profile do you have selected? Try high performance of Ultimate. If you don't have those options on power plans, then you can activate them by doing the following:

open powershell and paste the following text: powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

for ultimate paste this text: powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61 .

Test again and report back. You can also make sure you have the most up to date chipset drivers for your mobo, to be sure you also have the option of the Ryzen power plan which may also help.

I activated ultimate performance and saw a bit better performance. But in games like Rainbow Six Siege my game still runs on my CPU for some reason. Do you have any fix for this aswell?
Thanks

You must be mistaken. Your games cannot run on the CPU. Your CPU doesn't have an iGPU, so it will only run off your discrete card (3080). There must be some other issue at play.

What speeds are your ram running at? Can you run CPU-z and show the tabs for 'spd' and 'memory'.
