Hi,
I have RTX 3080 ti gainward phoenix + 12700K, 32 GB etc. I have two monitors, one running chrome with about 20 usual tabs, second with task manager + some grafs (+ some small programs running on the background). I can see the GPU usage spikes while i watching task manager in about 3 minutes interval. Can you please advise how can i catch process causing this? I dont think this is standard GPU behaviour, more likely it seems like virus trying to mining cryptocurrency :)

You've stated having 20 tabs open. Perhaps see if closing each tab through trial and error reveals a site on one of the tabs to the cause of the spikes. It's happened in the past, where one site was draining resources though that wasn't for mining, more like a bug on the site.

Can you please advise how can i catch process causing this?
You should be able to see in the Processes tab of the resources used equating to the spikes.

Side note, what OS are you working with? If Windows 10, what version(not edition) of the OS are you on?

im using Windows 11 - already tried completelly close chrome but spikes was still there. Also closed all programs nearby windows clock. In task manager processes I can see usage only for CPU, Mem, Disk and network, not GPU....

trojanBitcoin miner -Malwarebytes detected and removed, this thread can be closed - btw it removed more as I cannot use windows search and chrome doasnt show last tabs (but my settings is to use last tabs). So i may need reinstall windows :-(
