Hello everyone, I’ve had a new nVidia GeForce Gainward RTX 4070 Ghost Dual Fan for a month. The temperatures while gaming reach the stock curve of 74-76 and the hot spot 94-96. With my custom curve, I have temperatures of 72-74 and the hot spot 92-94. The fans are running about 10% higher than what Gainward sets in Expert Tools 2. My question is: Are these high values for this GPU, and is it a reason for a warranty claim. Case Fractal Design North XL. Home tempature 23 Celsia.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Case Fractal Design North XL.
Might want to mention the number/orientation of the fans in said case. What sort of temps do you see when idle? Have you tried undervolting?

What titles are you taxing the system with?

The temperatures are consistent across most AAA games. Completed on the card so far: The Last of Us, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Spider-Man Remastered, God of War. The temperatures I mentioned are based on a game that utilizes the GPU at 99%. However, the average according to HWInfo is 2C lower. It also depends on the game, but it's usually lower. I’ve read reviews, but GPUs can vary from one unit to another, and I doubt the tests they perform involve playing for 2+ hours. My case ventilation setup is 2x 140mm intake and 2x exhaust (140mm and 120mm). We’re talking about 1440p resolution.
Idle temperatures are around 30-35°C, with the hotspot reaching a maximum of 40-45°C. This is with fan stop enabled.
