Question RTX 4080 Fan turning off

I just installed my rtx 4080 and the fan cut off at idle and wasn’t spinning at all. Is that normal for these cards? The cards I’ve had in the past never had the fans turn off at idle.

It’s a Founders Edition btw, forgot to add.

This is a normal mode for almost every video card from AIBs in the past 5 years. They usually kick back on at 50-55C

This is normal as they only need to be turn when needed. You can adjust the fan speed if you use MSI AfterBurner and use the fan curve on it. You can adjust how you want your fans to turn and at what temps.

Completely normal my RTX 2060 does the same thing the fans are off on idle and on while in game when the heat of the GPU goes up
