hi guys im now a proud owner on an msi rtx 4080 ventus 3x oc card.
which ive had for 2 days now
but i do have a question
whats the junction temperature/ or hotspot max of the card before it throttles or causes problems officially?
should i be looking at the gpu core temp or the junction temp?
my gpu core temp usually maxes at 69c
and the junction is around 82c

its strange because on hwinfo on the gpu section theres a part that says gpu thermal limit and that says 84c
this is why im wondering with my hotspot at 82c i was getting abit worried

That's the default set by Nvidia. You can use software like Afterburner to raise it to 88C, but not much point in doing that.
Hot spot is the hottest sensor(unspecified) on the gpu die. The temperature limit for that reading is much higher than the gpu core.

Yes. Which means your temps aren't even close to being not-okay, honestly. Worst case you can simply ramp up your fan curve if you ever get close to dangerous territory.
