Question RTX 5070 GPU and i9-12900KS CPU. Will it bottleneck?

I recently ordered the RTX 5070. Now I'm wondering if my cpu will cause a bottleneck..

My cpu thermal throttles a lot. will this effect the fps?

I play in 4k and currently get about 23-25 fps in horizon Forbidden west with the rtx 3060.

Aiming for 50 - 60 fps in forbidden west with the rtx 5070

Thermal throttling depends on quite a few factors like your case cooling, cpu cooling, motherboard vram, ambient temp, vcore input, etc. In an ideal scenario where those things are not a hindrance, that CPU and GPU combo should work fine,

Pretty difficult to predict like that. Guess it will depend on the game you play as well as the amount of throttling experienced.

Rtx 5070 performs around Rtx 3090 / 4070 Super.

So for Forbidden West, you'll see roughly what you want compared to this video utilising 5950x which your cpu is faster so the 5070 should perform better.

Coming from a 3060, the 5070 isn't bad. Performance is more than doubled pretty much. Ti though, if you were to hold on to the card for two or more years would probably be worth the extra cost.
