Found something called "Belarc Adviser" amongst my programmes in "add /
Remove".

Any ideas as to what it is?

Hi John,

Belarc is a program that gives you a quick rundown of your hardware and
installed software (including often lost product keys), very handy to have.
Someone using your system was obviously interested in getting a quick
overview of it. www.belarc.com

It's not spyware, someone had to have intentionally downloaded the client
and installed it.

Greetings --

It's a very useful utility. Try it, and discover the wealth of
information about your system that it provides.
