I remember being excited at the idea of an iPhone nano back in the day, but in retrospect there's no way it would have taken off--even the 3.5" screen of the iPhone is borderline too small.

This doesn't make any sense. Apple will kill potential iPad sales with this. Sure, will make an iPad more accessible for lower income customers but will be in competition with the Kindle Fire and reduced price tablets. I call this BS. Apple's innovation has come to a halt.

If Windows 8 becomes a success then customers will have plenty of tablet choices from different vendors to fit their needs and style. On the other front, Google releases those Google-glasses and before you know it Apple will once again be playing catch-up.

[citation][nom]jacobdrj[/nom]iPod touch? How about an upgrade to the iPod classic already... 500gb would be nice...[/citation]

There's no point, nobody want's a standard mp3 player anymore, and even if some did, there's no competition that goes against the ipod classic either.

Might need that if the leak is confirmed on the iPad Mini

An iPad mini makes no sense and does not fit Apple's strategy. I think this wouldn't happen if Steve Jobs was still alive.

One iPad to rule them all!

Personally I prefer the "small" size of the iPhone. Anything bigger doesn't feel comfortable in my pants... wait... what did I just say?

Remember the days before the smartphone craze when phones were becoming smaller and smaller? Those were great.

I think its just a rumor...I don't think we'll see a smaller iPad...there's no need. Want something smaller get an iPod touch. It screen is sharp enough that if you want something smaller than the iPad it should fit the bill. A 7 inch seems like a waste. Now, what Apple might do okay with is an e-ink device...perhaps with edge lit LEDs. However, I'm sure those smarter than we have studied the market for that.
