Run XP Mode with this CPU?

I'm planning on upgrading my CPU so that I can play with the new XP mode and was wondering if this CPU would work?

What are you planning to use XP mode for? If it's for games then forget it!

As for the virtualisation, I can't find a lot on AMD chips.

I believe it has VT Technology, so it should do the trick. However, I'm not exactly an AMD "expert" (much less an Intel one), so hopefully someone with more knowledge of AMD CPU's can chime in to be sure.

Intel has a page on their site detailing specific features on each of their CPU's, found here. After a quick Google search, I found that AMD has a similar page on their site for their CPU's. You can find it here. Picking the CPU you linked to above revealed that AMD's Virtualization instruction set is present in the AM2 based Athlon X2 6000+. You will be able to run XP Mode with this chip just fine.
