I have an Asus G1S with Windows 7 Bios 300, can I run 6Gb of RAM using a (1) 4GB stick and (1) 2GB stick of RAM?

Hi there!

i heard you can also run the intel T9500 but you need Pc6400 memorys.

I´ve purchased a pair of 2gb Pc6400 DDR II rams but for some reason it wont boot... i dont know if the memorys have some kind of problem or are incompatible with the asus. i have the 300 bios version.

Any one experience this?

Thks!

D

Incorrect assumption, I am getting full use of all 8GB.

I've been successful with PC5300 DDR2 using (2) 4GB sticks. Try those instead.

MY G1S flies of course I am running a T9300 CPU, heat is an issue and I use a cooling pad. Win 7 x64 Ultimate works fine on my G1S.
