Running a game and auto turn-off

Hey, so whenever I play a game on max video settings the computer either turn offs itself (and then turns on shortly after) or I get bsod. However, when I lower the settings to around medium the problem disappears (although it still sometimes turns off but less frequently, maybe less than once in 20 times).
So where do you think the problem lies? Bad PSU?

Could be bad or undersized PSU, or high temperatures. What are your computer's specs?

I don't think temperature is the problem here, since I think I've never seen it rise above 50 degrees celsius.
