So I am currently looking to build an really tiny ITX system and would like to utilize as much space as possible and minimize on parts i don't need in order to save space. So I had the idea of only using a 500GB M.2 to power the whole system, I understand that is not a lot of storage space but bear in mind I would only be running about 10 to 15 games at any given time (given that games are around 20GB, windows will also be installed on the system) I was wondering if using an M.2 to power the whole system is a good Idea or should i use a SATA SSD? Will it improve gaming load times and FPS and is it a viable solution or will the system just not work.

*The Motherboard has M.2 Support
*I understand it is way more expensive and there are cheaper solutions

i mean other then slightly better speeds then an ssd. Why not just buy an ssd and a 2tb hard drive? ssd's cost considerably cheaper then a m.2, and you'll get essentially the same performance and the same storage, with money to spend on an hdd. Off load games you don't play much on the hdd and keep the ones you do on the ssd.

Thanks, The GPU is a GeForce GTX 960 and I will probably just be using the system with my 1080p TV, so I wouldn't be running really over the top games, just some indie games and maybe an occasional triple A title

The idea of this build is to fit the parts into a tiny enclosure for a TV PC so I wouldn't be using a Hard Drive and was just wondering if it would work as a sufficient disk space for considerably small file sizes, my gaming laptop only has 256Gb of storage and use it for on the go gaming with current games. I usually just uninstall games i don't play often that's the principle i am going for here.
