I recently built a Linux Centos 7 PC that I use for a plex media server. The PC is a dual core PC with 8GB ram. The motherboard has no built-in GFX capability and to fill the void I added a GT210 graphics card. It works great but the fan on the GT210 does not work - it probably died due to age.

This PC only runs Linux and there is no graphics involved (like GNOME or KDE or some other Xserver). Video will not be played on the PC directly. The PC will only be used as a streaming server.

Will it be safe to use the GT210 in this environment without the fan turning? The heatsink where the fan is connected is hot but my guees is that it is not going to overheat due to no graphics being used. There is zero graphics load when the machine is running due to it only being a streaming server.
