[SOLVED] Running da vinci resolve on 8GB ram

Hi,
I will soon be upgrading to an alienware aurora (32 gb ram, 8 gb graphics card) but for the moment I have the use of a friends HP all in one (about a year old), with 8GB ram (5.92 usable) , AMD Ryzen 5 3550H processor, and AMD Radeon (TM) Vega 8 graphics card.
I'm just starting in learning about computer hardware and so my question is simple....
I get that Da vinci needs at least 16 gm ram....but if I was to run it on the HP, could I do any harm to the computer? Especially as its not mine

It will just be quite slow.
