Hi I recently purchased a rx 460 to replace my gtx 650 ti. My motherboard has two slots for gpus but can I run both of them at once? I have GA-B85M-D3H B85 MB as my motherboard. And if I can run both, do I have to switch between them?

Solution
You can try running both but it may cause a hardware conflict. Keep in mind when playing games only one card can do the rendering (for the most part...ashes of the singularity is the only game i know that can use different make and model cards) and the card doing the rendering is also the card you must be connected to. If not it won't work like you want. I assume you want to run more then one screen?

I'm sorry that I didn't make this clear but what I wanted to know was what would happen if I installed one rx 460 and gtx 650 ti on the same motherboard. Unfortunately when I got the rx 460 I didn't know that it only had DVi output so I can't currently use it so I was wondering what would happen if I installed both my gpus.

Thank you for the answer. I thought it wouldn't work but I wanted a professional to give an opinion. I don't want to run two screens just yet. I have both of them connected right now but I'll probably disconnect the 650 ti and just use rx 460.
