I built a pc and was wondering if I could run games at 2k. I have a I5-6600k and crossfire r9 290x graphics cards. I believe I could. But I wanted to ask some people first before I buy a 2k monitor.

I agree with ComputerSecurityGuy. I generally use Nvidia stuff, but I follow what the r9 290x's can do and they should rock 2k/60fps no problem for most games in ultra. In benchmarks they tend to top around 30-50 fps with most ultra settings for 4k(really depends on the game). You may also want to consider going with a 1080p 144hz display. The 2k res is impressive but 1080p/120-144hz fps is something to experience as well.
