Running GMOD Without Steam

Hello,

I am trying to play Garry's Mod off of a flash drive on a school computer. I purchased the game legally and just want to play it during my spare time in my graphic design class. The only problem is that when I try to launch it, it starts to load, and then gives me an error message saying Steam is not running. What can I do to get around this? Once again, I'm not pirating anything. I'm just trying to launch it on a computer without Steam.

First, I'm not sure you can. The games use Steam as a form of DRM. So you need Steam running to make it work. Second, I'm guessing the school doesn't want you to do this. I suggest talking to the school and having them help you. We don't get around DRM, we don't help with getting around blocks school/work put in place.
