[SOLVED] Running R6S at 144fps.

So I recently received my 1660 super and from the test I have looked at it can run Rainbow Six Siege at 144fps and higher at low to high settings. When I am in-game with nothing in the background I receive 144fps but I drop to around 120 fps. What could be my problem?

My system specs are as follows:
Ryzen 5 1600 (Non AF)
16 GB RAM 3200mhz
ASROCK B450M-HDV
GTX 1660 Super

Performance would be about right for that cpu + gpu combo. What test did you see and were they using the same cpu?

120ish is still very good, but for consistency, a faster cpu would serve the gpu better.

I play R6S as well! Play the game using Vulkan if you are on Steam and set the Adaptive Render Scaling Target FPS to 144 in the Graphics settings and you are good to go.

Might want to include your system specs for them to compare.

Btw, Vulkan isn't exclusive to Steam only versions, Uplay client also gives the option when launching the game. But it is well worth the try.
