Question Running RAM speed above my CPUs max ram speed?

Hi guys,
I recently bought a bundle from a PC parts company that's very big in my country. They boast the RAM speed is 3600MHz, but I look and my i5-11400F can reportedly only support 3200MHz, can I go above this? What happens if I try? Am I safe giving it a go?

It depends on the motherboard. 3200hz is the officially supported speed and anything over is an overclock. However it should work at 3600mhz by just enabling XMP, it is safe.

Depends on motherboard and motherboard chipset.
Some motherboards support ram overclocking, some don't.

For example with B460 motherboard you'd be limited to 2933mhz.
B560 would allow ram overclocking and you could run ram at 3600mhz.
