Hi guys, i recently had a PUP virus on my computer which wrecked havoc and forced me to reformate my system, good thing i had a 4TB external harddrive which allowed me to drag and drop most of my files...

However now after reinstalling Windows 7 my system just seems slower...it is constantly loading something even when not in use. Downloading and installing Windows updates take forever and sometimes even hangs for a long time.

Im not sure what to do...is it even possible for a reformate to go wrong? If this is the case ill reformate right away.

ill also note that even after formate, when running malwarebytes I still had 13 PUP files on my computer. .however after removing them it still runs slow...

What should I do? You guys are life savers and always come thru! THANK YOU INADVANCE!!

i would say check into seeing if your have to defrag some times pup viruses can cause these problems. if that does not fix the problem download avast antivirus and run a post scan it will scan your hard drive and ram before it can post to find any viruses that might be hiding after post. but it sounds like you might have a defrag problem or drivers for your video card

Thanks for the reply!!

My videocard card drivers are all up to date...infact my computer is completely up to date post formate...

ill try defragging but would that even matter after a complete reformate?

thank you..going to try all ur advice.
