rx 470 in my motherboard?

Here is my build
Intel i5-2500k
8gb ram
intel motherboard DH67BL
PSU 500W with 6 and 8 pins connectors
1 TB hard drive western digita
GPU max length in my case 26 cm

I've decided to buy a rx 470 but i am not sure if it will fit because my motherboard ram slots are pretty close and most of the rx 470 comes with a backplate. I was thinking can i remove the backplate? And even with the back plate off will it fit?

Also i don't have enough budget to change my motherboard + the gpu

Im in a same dilemma as you, im also thinking of buying rx 470 sapphire nitro but the backplate is holding me back thinking of it will fit or not.

so, my question is have you tried to fit it already? I would like to know if it does

Worst case scenario, remove the backplate. I believe it should be removable.
