I am convinced to buy the rx 470 4 gb or 8 gb version but i have no experience on what type of model i should choose from. I don't want to buy the reference model as i would like to have better cooling etc. Which ones are good? Price to performance wise too plz!

Solution
RX470 Nitro+ from Sapphire. It's 8GB variant is the only RX470 with much faster 8GHz VRAM, and both 4 GB and 8Gb have proper cooling on VRAM. MSI Gaming X has the beefiest cooler overall, but I believe memory chips on it are bare. Gigabyte card shows good enough results, but overall the card is made with a bit of saving.
And Asus Strix is a special case- a badly designed card, that 'keeps GPU cool' in most reviews , but really creates a hot spot near VRMs and memory- and this is even before overclocking: http://media.bestofmicro.com/B/8/600452/original/01-Asus-RX-470-Strix-Doom-Loop.png (from Tomshardware Asus RX470 review)

Thnx, ill take a look at MSI

ok thnx!

Rx470 8gb sapphire(only) very close to any Rx480 8gb. Because only it has samsung memory = 2000mhz as well as any Rx480 8gb.
Rx470 8gb msi has Micron memory (1650mhz).
Most of Rx470 4gb and Rx480 4gb have Hynix memory(1750mhz)
