sure. it's just enough in terms of wattage.

And if you like having a non reliable PSU that will most likely die in a short amount of time or even short circuit or explode and end up taking out other parts with it, then this PSU will service you nicely.

However, if you would like a recommendation, please provide your budget and currency type (or country) and we can help give that to you.

You give these as other options, but are tier 3 in that next list,

He himself links a unit that's also tier 3 so why can he not use that,it isn't that bad,

If this is what's available to you could you do worse. If other more decent units are available for about the same price get those.Maybe something like the Corsair Vengeance series.Looking via the German pcpartpicker prices,

hard to give recommendations if we don't know in what country you live.Somehow zorzy sounds eastern european to me. ;)

OP in his original post linked a budget fsp hyper psu. So I recommended the cx450. BTW, xilence performance X is basically a seasonic G series rebadge. So that makes it a tier 2. And it also is priced very competitive in the EU markets.

Then in his subsequent post he links gold rated and possibly higher cost model. So I thought he is willing to spend for a good psu which would serve him for atleast 5 years. Hence the tier 2 and above suggestion.

Hope that makes sense XD

Do see what you get at and looked at that perspective too,his current psu has more than enough wattage to power that gpu.Depends if it has enough quality,he could test, but if he wants to spend some money on something better would i not mind.

I mean even my craptastic VS550 Orange could handle RX 480, GTX 470 in period of 6 months, yes 12V rail dropped on 11.6-11.7V with GTX 470, but with RX 480 it was 11.8V~ , I would suggest him to try, if he feels the stuttering, clock drops, then I would consider swapping PSU, but most of time everybody and me Including (By everybody i mean most of us here) would yell "New PSU".

But that's his risk as well as my risk When i used GTX 470 in my system, but It worked out fine. No buzzing, no burning smell or nothing.
I would suggest him to try out.

Oh and to add, I have this PSU for 4-5 years all-ready (Im quite unsure), 2 years out of warranty.

You speak from personal experience I take it?
Because I have a CX600M in my system and have had it for a long time.
It has been through three generations of CPU, and three generations of GPU
Those being the GTX 780, GTX 950, 1050ti, 1070, and now it powers a 1080ti, 6700K, Kraken X62, etc. etc.

I will also note that I always overclock on all my stuff, so all the CPU's and GPU's I've had have been overclocked to their max potential or as far as the cooling I had on it would allow (which was never an issue so it was always max clocks)

But maybe I just got lucky and got one of the good ones. Who knows.

^ yup who knows!

A friend of mine with cx500m with r9 380X. Started facing artifacts and crashes after 8 months.

Maybe the Cx600m had more wattage and you didn't face any issues. But the cx500m is supposed to power it without any hiccups. He changed it to an Antec earthwatts pro 650w for his ryzen upgrade and no issues.

Maybe tell where you buy or what country. Also if this one is available to you and other types mentioned here not is it not a really bad choice,it's just not the best.

guess you don't pay for what it is priced here. We always want the best for people who come here, reality is that not all have the budget or availability. ;)
