Hey guys,I just got my RX 480 8GB.
I have a(what I think is) problem though.
I'll use R6S game for example.
Well,These are the 2 problems im facing:
1. Usage when in the game(no matter what game, but not in idle though) is always at 100%.
For example in siege even when I put everything on low,its still on 100% usage.
Even my cpu isnt using 100%.
The temps are fine, the fps is fine. just the usage, because I THINK,it isnt supposed to be at 100%?!?! I mean,MAYBE,MAYBE,at ultra settings, but even at low?

Ok Porblem 2 guys.
Theres the multisample anti aliasing option.
When Its off,I get a very good fps 90-150 maybe drops to 75 but you get the point. Its high, like its supposed to be.
But as soon as I turn that option to MSAA 8x, it goes down to 30-35 FPS !!!. at MSAA 4x it goes to 40-45,still not good.

Isnt the RX 480 suppose to run it at a normal fps? I mean,at least in games like siege.
Is there a problem or is it just me expecting too much? the RX 480 really cant handle multisample anti aliasing?? I dont believe it. And is it supposed to be at 100% usage even at low settings on a game like siege? Or am I(again) expecting too much? Thank you guys.

Solution
It is expected, I would say. Here, take a look at what these guys found out by using MSAA in Watch Dogs 2:

In short: going from No AA to 2X MSAA --> 28% performance loss, and then additional 26% from 2X to 4X MSAA. They didn't even test with 8x MSAA, which would likely lose additional 30% or so. It also highly depends on the game itself.

I'd say you were expecting too much from your card.

Solution

ok and you're running at 1920x1080 yep ? how much ram do you have ? which version of the 8gb card do you hve ? (xfx msi etc)

remove your display drivers using http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

then reinstall the drivers for your gpu .

i have been checking up on your system specs and this game (well gpu+cpu) and i see most are running this game on high settings @1080p 60-70 fps

I have kingston 16GB RAM.
And its the GIGABYTE version of the rx 480.
BTW without that option im running @1080p highest settings 75/90-150 fps, I dont know why it would only run on 60-70 fps for these people.
Welp,I think I got my answers guys. Thank you.
