Question RX 5600 XT black screen of death

I have a gigabyte rx 5600 xt that causes black screen sometimes when playing a game. First what happens is I see screen flickering across both my screens, and then a few moments later a black screen and my pc freezes.


I have changed my motherboard and reinstalled windows and it still happens so i am sure its not the mobo thats causing it.

Is it a software incompatibility issue? I have removed my drivers with ddu and still see this. What is causing this to happen.

Its corsair vs650
mobo is asus b85m-e , cpu 4770 core i7

i did not have this issue before getting this card, i had a broken graphics card that barely worked but it did not crash like this.

after reinserting the card i am no longer having issues right now
these black screens and flickering issues happen randomly. sometimes i reinsert the DP cable too and it fixes.

I have noticed that my case gets in the way and wont allow the displayports of my monitors to connect all the way.

could this be causing the crash?
