Question Rx 570 on 450w psu

Do note that this psu is only capable of providing 408w on the 12v rail and ive read the 570 doesnt exceed 200w on full load.
Im also running an i3 8100 with 16gb ram ddr4.

The RX 570 actually pulls in about 300W, but the required minimum PSU stated by AMD anyway is 450W. So that PSU should be fine. Especially since you're also using a low power use CPU.

I'm pretty sure 300w is total system power not just the gpu.

Some variants pull more according to other people's data. Either way your original question, "is 450w adequate?" Yes it is and also the minimum amount recommended. That is because there is an efficiency curve with PSU's. A PSU will lose power the more it is utilized due to AC/ to D/C conversion which could slow your computer down if you reach that end curve and still require more power.

Very, very poor quality power supply. 450w is fine, however I would never trust that PSU to power an RX570.
