I have an i5 4590 cpu with sapphire nitro+ Rx580 8gb and I think the cpu bottlenecks so which 4th gen is best for my gpu?

Intel core i5 4590 3.3 GHz
Motherboard is gigabyte p85-gaming 3
16 GB of ram ddr3 dual channel
Ps 500 watt cooler master k281 (upgrading it soon)
I get framedrops on low to medium settings in games like apex and warzone not huge like from 80 to 50 on apex and from 60 to 40 on warzone
What really worries me is the cpu temp reaching 85 degrees may even be 90 for like 10-20 sec when I'm playing

Alright thank you very much 😀.
how do you know if the cooling fan is what causes the high temp?
one more question please would the i7-4790k be better?

Turns out the hsf wasn't in contact with the cpu so I put the thermal paste again and put it back in place now the temp in bios doesn't exceed 50 and the highest temp on intel extreme tuning utility benchmarking is 81 is it accceptable?

The B85 chipset does not allow overclocking of a i7-4790K, but the higher stock clock will make it a bit faster than a i7-4770
That is as good as you can get on your motherboard.
If your games can use more than 4 threads, the i7 will be a good upgrade.
No guarantees since the cpu support list is missing. Perhaps a call to gigabyte will confirm.
It sells for about $200 used on ebay.

Ultimately, I wonder if it might be better to work towards a current gen setup.

Yeah it works on my motherboard I checked.
I'm just trying to squeeze out the best performance from my current build for a couple more years 'cause I'm on budget, but sure I'll consider upgrading once I have enough money.
Thank you for your reply 😁
