Question RX 580+ cross fire?

I have just purchased a sapphire Radeon rx580 nitro plus 8gb (special edition) I heard years ago you could use 2 cards... would it help me to get another one for future proof or would one be okay? my CPU is a i5 3570k motherboard is Asus P8Z77-V LX Motherboard (Socket 1155, 32GB DDR3 Support, ATX, Intel Z77 Express, USB 3.0, CrossFireX Support, Dual Intelligent Processors 3)

Not worth it , 1 is more than enough for that CPU.

Agreed.

Crossfire and SLI as a concept has really slipped as well. Implementations are sparse and getting less common. DX12 was supposed to usher in a new era of multi-GPU, but it basically didn't happen. Developers don't want to spend the time to cater to the .1% that have dual cards.
