Question rx 580 gpu

Okay so I made a post about cables missing or not working for my gpu/psu is there another psu I can just buy that will have the cables for my video card? If so which psu?

Rx 580 and I have corsair cs850m at the moment

Just about all new PSUs will have PCIe cables for graphics cards. They are usually a 6+2 design, where you can use them as either a 6 pin or use both plugs for an 8 pin....the 580 most likely is an 8 pin card.

As for your PSU, it's a good make and it should have come with at least 2 PCIe cables. If you don't have them (or not working), you should be able to buy one for it, but make sure it's for that unit as they do vary between models.

Contact Corsair or look online for cables for your model, and don't make several posts about the same issue, stick with one. A good quality PSU will be about $50+, cables should be maybe 10,15.

An RX 580 itself shouldn't draw much more than 200 watts from a PSU. When they say "500 watts", they're meaning for the whole system, including all the other components. Altogether, they typically won't draw much more than 400 watts under load, but you want some headroom, so a quality PSU at least in the 500 watt or higher range is what you would want, and any modern PSU of that capacity should have the proper cables. As was suggested though, I would probably just look for cables for your existing PSU though. Did the system come prebuilt, did you buy the PSU used without all the cables, or might they be floating around somewhere with other accessories?

Wow just upgrading a graphics I have learned a lot so far. The pc came prebuilt without the cables I had no idea at the time my old graphics did not come with a power chord it was an r7250 which is useless since my motherboard has a better graphics than this junk lol

My buddy has a chord but unable to get it at this point living in 2 different states he has the chord I need for my gpu and psu it came with his Corsair HX850 I will send a pic if any knows the name of this chord

I went to get the spare chord from my buddy that fits my psu and gpu. When I plugged both chords in checked to make sure every chord was properly inserted into psu ect..all chords the led light on the gpu turned blue instead of red indicating it had power everything loaded up fine was able to log into windows checked devices the gpu was working. Inserted the disk it came with installed the updates and restarted pc. After restart it loaded all screens windows 10 white rotating circles just before login screen than goes black.
