Hi, I have a Dell Precision T3600 workstation and want to upgrade the graphics card as I now use it for gaming. I've been looking at the RX 580 since I've got a freesync monitor. I was just wondering if:

1. will it fit in my current pc / is it compatible (if not what needs changing)
2. is the stock cooling system capable of handling the RX 580

Thanks,
Alex.

Solution
I'm seeing a few of them running here. But very few.

There was an issue with AMD GPUs not supporting the Dell BIOS resolution. This started with GCN3 cards R9-3xx (285 also) and up.
It produced Error 43 , Vesa mode 103 not supported by this GPU.
Sometimes it won't run, sometimes it runs OK (mine did). But I couldn't enter my BIOS. I benchmarked with it so there are results at Firestrike from me that make it look like it works.
I think Nvidia is the safer bet. Newer Dells are OK but how new I don't know. When I see 90% Nvidia usage it makes me very suspicious.
I've had one report that MSI afterburner fixed this. Totally unconfirmed.
