I have an rx 580 4gb, and a ryzen 5 1400. In Apex Legends my gpu temp skyrockets to 80-90 degrees but my cpu stays around 40-50 degrees. Both of them are at 95-100% usage constantly but my gpu consistently is much higher. The issue is that whenever i try to load into a game on Apex my gpu stops displaying. My fans are consistently sitting at max speed and at this point im lost and the only thing i can think to do is to replace the thermal paste and add more fans to my case.

Solution
High GPU usage will spike temps significantly in the absence of adequate cooling. Apex Legends seems to have a poor optimization issue dues to which this looks like a more common problem. Try the fixes in these posts...

Not sure if the issue has been fixed over time, as I don't play that game. If it doesnt, then you might have to look at better case/cooling/ambient.
