Question RX 6650 XT - Black screen after driver installation, even with offline drivers and DDU

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a persistent issue with my RX 6650 XT. After installing the drivers, the screen goes black and doesn't recover, even after a reboot. I've tried several solutions, including:

• Using DDU in Safe Mode to completely remove previous drivers
• Installing the latest Adrenalin drivers (25.5.1) as well as older versions like 22.11.2 and Pro Edition 22.Q4
• Installing drivers offline, ensuring Windows doesn't automatically update them
• Disabling automatic driver updates in Windows settings

Despite these efforts, the issue persists. The system works fine in Safe Mode or without the AMD drivers installed, but as soon as I install any AMD driver, the screen goes black.

System Specs:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
• Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H
• RAM: 16GB DDR4
• GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT
• PSU: 750W Gold
• OS: Windows 11 Pro (clean install)

Has anyone faced a similar issue or have any suggestions? I'm starting to think it might be a hardware compatibility problem. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the GPU in another PC?

My GPU was working fine. The problem started yesterday after I turned off my PC to have dinner. When I turned it back on, the issue suddenly appeared

Understood, but an easy way to isolate the issue is to test the GPU in a different PC. To see if the problem "moves".
