I do mostly 8K video editing on my system and I'm without a GPU at the moment. Im just using the iGPU to render stuff, because I've been waiting for these new GPUs to come out. I know AMDs GPU will be out I believe on March 5th, and the 5070 Ti is already out. Now typically for creators and editing, you'd want to stick with Nvidia cards, as AMD is mainly a gamers card. But I'm wondering if that has changed for this new release? I havent been able to find creators benchmarks yet, so has anyone seen how the new 9070 XT is for video editing? I know its a little early to tell, but I'm putting feelers out there to see if the info is out there yet. Either that or I'll have to come back to this thread when AMD is officially released.

Usually team green wins creator stuff. Nobody can answer this until some side by side benchmarks are released.

The main issue is finding a card in stock.

I doubt you will get in-depth benchmarks in this thread, but I'm sure in the next couple of months you tube will have some good data for you.

Looks like you got a pretty great machine!

Being I've seen a couple videos and this page above suggesting Nvidia is still the way to go when it comes to content creation, as AMD lags far behind in every test. So now I need to decide between the RTX 5070TI and the RTX 5080. 400 dollar difference here in Canada.

honestly wouldnt go near either till they have got all the defective chips sorted and the whole needing a fire extinguisher at your desk when it decides to set itself alight.

5080 or 5070 ti
