[SOLVED] rx560 compatibility with msi h61m p20(g3)

hey guys just asking if these 2 will work,i know the 560 requiers newer bios version,
The latest one one the msi site is a v1,9 or 7788v11.zip i have no clue how to differentiate them

i know it will but i am asking if the latest version of bios(latest available to download) will even work with the rx560 https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H61M-P20-G3/Specification , pcpart picker says that it will work and when i search rx560 comp. mobos this one shows up but am i supposed to trust this?

i had a foxconn 2abf with a version 7 bios and it didnt work and a hp tech answerd that you need at least a v8xx bios for that card to work and i cant update my foxconn board

I see very little reason to believe it won't work for you.

Viktor has/ had an OEM mobo (from a HP pre-built) which is why it didn't work for him/ her.

the foxconn 2abf works with rx 570 for me on latest bios. i upgraded a computer with that gpu a while ago so with a bios update that motherboard shoul work too. the msi board should work without update.

what update bro? , still deciding to buy yhe Msi but can you show me how did you get it to work? which bios these are legacy mobos mine is a v7xx bios

yep,same thing this is a hp 3500 pro. It says that they can not find any drivers? have you got the download file by any chance.

go to hp support https://support.hp.com, click on software and drivers. let the site identify your hardware. you will get options for windows 8 and 7 choose windows 8. the bios file should be listed there.

what psu do you got? are you using the 300w hp psu?

it detected your computer as hp Compaq pro 3500? it should be the same but the bios verison should be 8.19 not 8.14

just did it my rx560 works great! did the update from windows i cant thank you enough , i had some wierd problems with a disk error but worked it out

yeah i upgraded it with rx 570 it works good. 580 should work too. just make sure your psu handle it. im running 570 with 400 w be quiet psu. 580 might need 500 w. this is a good system to upgrade, it can handle intel xeon. 1240 or 1270 and the ram can be upgraded to 12 gb probably 2 x 8 gb too.

You are saying that you have the msi h61m p20 (g3) with rx570 and it works fine?
And if you are wich one are you using? The rx570 4gb or the 8gb version?
