Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my PC this year. I've been eyeing the Power Color Fighter RX 7600 8gb for my GPU. Is the Ryzen 5 5600 a good pair for this? Would you guys have other recommendations ? This is my current setup.

Mobo: MSI B450 Mortar Max
RAM: 2x 8gb 3000Mhz DDR4
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: RX580 4gb
PSU: Corsair Vs550w
Cooling: Stock AMD Wraith Stealth
Storage: 1TB m.2 SSD

I usually just do single-player 1080p gaming and some light video editing.

With BIOS updates that motherboard can handle the 5xxx series of CPU. Consider cooling if needed, perhaps case fans as well.

Would be a good consideration to change the PSU alongside the graphics card. Make sure what you pick fits in the case.

Probably be a good idea to consider a RAM upgrade to 32GB

That is a great combination, i would just get a 12gb GPU since its better for longevity, see for what price you can find a RX 6700 XT 12gb, if its too expensive, there is nothing wrong with going with a RX 7600.
What tyoe of games do you play?
Thanks! The RX 6700 XT 12g is roughly 80% more expensive where I am, a bit over my budget. I think going from a 4gb card to 8gb should be good for me, at least for a couple of years :)

I play a pretty mixed bag of games - the AC series, TotalWar , Mount&Blade. My setup is just struggling with some of the newer games that's why I thought it might be a good time to upgrade.

Thanks! I'm planning to buy the GPU and CPU a couple of 3-4 months apart just to manage expenses. Which one would you recommend I upgrade first?

I have the Asus Prime AP201 - it's pretty spacious inside considering its overall size with good airflow.

Would you have any recommendations for RAM as well?
